On the 28th of July, 2008 at 8:42pm, baby Simon Gabriel entered the world via Ceasarian Section. This might be the beginning of any normal birth story, but for Simon Gabriel, his birthday arrived sixteen weeks too soon.
Since that day, Simon’s beautiful mother, Mysti, has kept a journal of baby Simon’s challenging journey. She shares the daily battles his tiny body must make to survive. With her courageous, tear-soaked entries Mysti gives us a gift, the shared love and longing prayers, uniting us across the globe with this infants precious miracle. Every day takes young Simon towards a long, healthy, normal life. Every day he shows the world what it truly means to survive against all odds.
While Simon makes this difficult journey toward a full life his family, Mother Mysti, Father Rob, and Brother Jaden, find their time split between their home and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Denver. The two hour car trip has been a strain on the family and being forced to spend time away from their precious new baby has been heart-breaking for the whole family. Poor little Simon NEEDS his family nearby and we ask for Your help.
I hope you’ll join us sending prayers and love to Simon Gabriel and his family. We’re also asking that those who can send financial support. Mysti and Rob have a $6,000 goal that will allow them to spend the hard weeks ahead by baby Simon’s side. It will give them the accommodation they need to remain in Denver so they can spend precious time with Simon in the NICU. Can you spare a little to help them reach this goal?
Please, join us follow little Simon’s journey at One Woman’s Heart: Precious Simon’s Journey. Offer your words of support, a quiet cheer, a stolen tear, and your prayers.
Find out more about how YOUR help can make a big differance at The Echo Of One: Supporting Simon. If all you can spare are your thoughts, your love, and your prayers I know Simon and his family truly appreciate all our support. Please, spread the word.
