Thank you so much for your feedback, Jeanne and Mysti.

One advantage of blogs other than this collaborative one is the freedom to write 'off topic'. In your case Mysti the new fitness blog is another specific niche that you can only share in that form. Having the freedom to write what comes instead of meeting a specific niche is something that WRA cannot provide.

Thankfully, when it comes to writing about writing or web technology WRA is a medium open to any talented writer and I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to share the voices of other favorite writers here. :-)

As we discussed earlier, I'm game. I, however, would be more than willing to give up my writing blog, though maintaining our fitness blog (ack! I need to finish that post and publish it!) and of course, Simon's.

Rebecca,

I think a collaborative blog would be a wonderful idea! And while I'd personally be happy to contribute when possible, I don't think I'd give up my own blog to do it. At times, keeping our blogs updated can be difficult, but there's something especially rewarding about having one's very own blog. I've experienced that difficulty recently in a very dramatic way, when I became unable to post as I took on the responsibility for my mom's caregiving and then lost her to Alzheimer's in mid-May. Yet, I still wouldn't want to give up my blog entirely. As I get back into posting a little more often, I'm finding the activity therapeutic.

I asked this question on Plurk just before I wrote this post and know there are other writers out there who love the idea. Lets discuss!

Share your thoughts and don't be afraid to ramble. Lets get a really good conversation going on. Be as lengthy as you like (I know I always am. *grins*)
