You are absolutely correct in you being the person I had discussed. But - you are not alone in that, either!

I love music and actually find quite a bit of inspiration from music, including a post I just made this morning at Life's Approbation. It is great as a means to block out distractions or to provide a means to connect with your muse when the connection is gone.

Goal setting is a topic for a whole new discussion! :) All in correlation to making a visual map for success.

To be honest, I've neglected my Muse so often these past few months that she must be weeping from loneliness. I'm certain, that if I were to open the door she's be right there for me, she always is but I've been a bad friend to her.

I think I'm probably also the friend you mentioned in your introduction. The one developing a chronic fear of starting. *blushes*

I loved your tips for getting the inspiration and creativity to happen. I know music is a HUGE one for me. When I'm having trouble shutting out distractions both external and internet I get my headset on and set my playlist to something I can listen to without tuning into. These days I can even listen to music that has lyrics and find focus and direction. When that focus clicks into place my singing or humming disappears and I become oblivious to everything but the words, my fingers, and the lovely dance of the Muse.

Goal Setting is another tool I find necessary to help me block out the unnecessary. Becoming clear about what I value and what is most important to me and the future I want to have helps me put aside those time wasters and procrastinations and get back on target. That's why I think it's vital to reconnect with your goals daily and to do a Goal Setting Workshop at least once a month.
