Many traditional publishers offer "reviewer copies", a selection of books they provide without charge specifically for the publicity of a review. One of the most important tips I want to suggest is to be honest and balanced in your review. Yes, rave away if you absolutely love a product but don't be afraid to mention its faults too. If you can't find anything nice, or need to admit a significant fault offer your opinion on what could be done to improve things. Remember, your review is for your readers. You're writing to help others decide if this product is for them.
