Credits For EntreCard Users
I really enjoy the network of writers and bloggers I’ve discovered thanks to this wonderful little gadget, EntreCard. For the past few months I’ve dropped and returned drops regularly, especially to my favorite blogs, and have built up a little nest egg of credits. I’d love to share these excess EntreCredits with the EntreCard readers here at Writer’s Round-About.
Do you use EntreCard? Would you like some free credits?
I’m giving away 100 credits to each of the next ten people to leave a recommendation for Writer’s Round-About on EntreCard. It’s easy to do. Simply click on the E in the EntreCard box to the right and click -> Write a recommendation for this site. What do you love about Writer’s Round-About? What brings you back, time and again? Write a review of at least 100 characters and if you’re amongst the next ten to do so then you’ll be awarded 100 credits.
I feel a bit silly, bribing users for recommendations.
What I’m really after is a good way to free up credits. I could spend it advertising my blog on other EntreCard sites but where is the fun in that? I’ll have to think up some new and creative contests to clear out my credit bank regularly so if you have any ideas, let me know.
Meanwhile, happy dropping everyone. I hope you all find other fantastic sites out there, offering a wealth of information and a friendly atmosphere.

Jena Isle says:
Your idea is good and generous. You have a very organized site. I am not saying this to get the credits..lol…. I find your site, not only very informative, but also soothing to the eyes as well. Happy blogging.
Book Calendar says:
Sure, I’ll take a bribe. I put in a recommendation for your site. The reasons are that you always reciprocate my drops, have a nicely designed logo, and provide practical advice for writing.
Tam says:
I used to randomly give away 100 credit prizes to two random people who dropped their card on me in a given day.
The daily commitment to the housekeeping of the promotion led me to stop it, although while it was running, it worked rather well.
Good luck with your contests, whatever form they take.
Michele says:
Awesome idea, Rebecca! You always have the most brilliant things going on in your head. Guess it’s that idea waterfall you always shower beneath…
Smiles,
Michele
Arachne Jericho says:
I’d recommend you without the bribe. *g* Entrecard credits don’t matter very much to me anymore, but participating in Entrecard continues to. (Weird? Don’t think quite so, but ah well.)
Rebecca Laffar-Smith says:
@ Book Calendar: Thanks so much for the recommendation, Book!
And for your kind compliments. I try to provide writing tips that others can use and it seems to work.
@ Tam: I did consider giving away the credits at random to droppers as well, Tam. This way at least there seems to be some interactivity although I must admit not a great deal. Only two takers so far which means there are 800 more credits to give away.
@ Michele: Thanks, Michele! The ideas keep coming fast and furious. I just wish the motivation to act on those ideas and time to do so were more readily available.
@ Arachne:
Thanks, Arachne! You already know how much I love your site. You’re welcome to leave a recommendation and forego the credits if you like. I’ve found the same thing happen. I love dropping cards and exploring new blogs or checking out my favorites each day but I really don’t do much with the credits I earn. Sometimes I’ll put up an add but most of the time it just sits idle so I thought it might be nice to give some away.
@ Everyone: There are still 800 credits up for grabs!
