Your dream home sounds like a great goal to focus on, Angela. Every day we have little puddle-jumping goals to accomplish so it's not surprising that most of your goals are one year goals. There are goals that will be harder to accomplish, like your dream home, that may take longer.

For example, one of my long term 10 year goals is to establish a writer's colony. It just isn't realistic to think I could do it in one year (especially on top of some of my shorter term goals like finishing my current book) so setting my time line with so little leeway would be dangerous. You don't want to make it impossible to reach your goals.

Having said that, there are aspects that work in your favor. If you have a one year goal to earn $500,000 when the most you've ever earned is $20,000 it might seem out of reach. By truly believing you can accomplish this goal, however, you probably will. Because you'll have centered your lifestyle around the goals completion, and with Tony's Goal Setting Workshop you'll have functional day to day tasks that keep you on the right path.
